It all started on January 26th 2019, when a surprise birthday party for Farhad was planned at his apartment. As his closest friends and family surprised him that night, his biggest surprise was the uninvited guest who showed up with some mutual friends. With this bold move (one that Farhad soon learned are to be expected), Yvette caught his eye immediately.

While Yvette shared her number with Farhad that night, she proceeded to dodge his requests for a date until their friends convinced her that she has nothing to lose since Farhad is such a calm angel. Luckily Yvette is always open to try new things, gave in to the date, and the rest is history.

From that first date on February 13th 2019, Yvette and Farhad's journey began and through international work assignments, a global pandemic, and the distance from Farlington to DC, they grew closer until moving into DC together in December 2020. Since then, they have been inseparable whether they were traveling the world, going to Safeway down the street, or skiing their favorite slopes.

With complimentary skills in every facet of life - Yvette has grand ideas and Farhad executes the minute details - they make a perfect team. While in DC, they teamed up to host friends and family for dinner, drinks, and game nights. The dynamic duo has more recently moved their talents to the buzzing city of Amsterdam, where they are enjoying the beautiful canals and busy bike lanes.

Living in Amsterdam has been wonderful, but we miss our friends and family every day. Having everyone spend three days together celebrating in the gorgeous city of Girona is a dream come true.
